Dear Spotify Team,
Growing up I always wanted to be a professional baseball player. I even made it pretty far, played in college and in the minor leagues. It is interesting to me, how I ended up loving something so different. I have been a developer now for over 10 years and couldn’t really imagine doing anything else at this point.
I started with iOS development and through the years made my way into web. As of late, building out design systems for our clients has been my new infatuation. Leveraging web components, frameworks like NextJS and the open source community have really changed the way I think about building for the web.
Currently at Union, I manage a team of 7 developers across both disciplines creating websites and web apps for our clients. I have lead the charge pushing boundaries and thinking of new ways of bringing our clients’ needs and wants to life. I also helped create and manage our internal design system that we use for most, if not all web builds.
Outside of Union I still enjoy creating. I’ve launched a few apps (leveraging web technologies like Ionic and React Native) and continue to learn on my free time.
I believe to have all the technical and soft skills required for this position and working for a company like Spotify has always been a goal of mine. I look forward to hearing from you and learning more about Spotify, this position and how I can help the team innovate and solve problems.
